Jordan Cox currently serves as the Minister of Sports and Wellness of First
Baptist Church of Springdale, golf coach for Shiloh Christian School, and is
the “voice of the Saints” handling play-by-play duties for the football
broadcasts and co-host of the Josh Floyd Show on TV. Most recently Jordan
and his wife of 18 years, Kristy, and their daughters, Jordan Lee (13) and
Ryley (9) lived in Waco, Texas where Jordan worked on the ministry staff of
First Baptist Church, Waco. He was also a minority owner in the Heart of
Texas Golf Academy serving as an instructor and the marketing coordinator.
Prior to returning to his hometown of Waco, he served as the Director of
Communications and Training of Upward Unlimited, Inc., headquartered in
Spartanburg, SC, a national youth sports ministry organization partnered with
over 1000 churches in almost every state and several foreign countries.
Jordan served almost five years as Minister of Recreation and
Communication at the First Baptist Church of Amarillo, Texas. His expertise in
marketing, communications, media, writing, and programming leads him to
speak and present at various national conferences. He has written various
chapters for books and had numerous articles published in national
periodicals. He was the Executive Director of the Texas Sports Hall of Fame
from 1994 – 1997 while also working as an ad-junct professor in the
Communications Studies department at Baylor University, where he earned a
Bachelor of Arts degree in Radio/Television-Film in 1986. A former sports
anchor at KWTX-TV (CBS) in Waco and KRDO-TV (ABC) in Colorado
Springs, he received several honors as a radio play-by-play announcer and
television sportscaster since his career began in 1981. He has covered a
myriad of major sports events all over the country including Super Bowls, the
NCAA Final-Four, and several events on the PGA Tour. His stories and
shows have aired on ESPN, Fox Sports, and Home Sports Entertainment.
